Boca Jrs 92 Girls Stand Proud in the Laguna Hills Eclipse College Showcase

TEMECULA, CA --  Over this past Memorial Day Weekend, the U16 Boca Jrs. Girl’s team traveled to Temecula, CA to participate in the Laguna Hills Eclipse College Showcase.  Their competition included teams from LAFC, Laguna Hills and Santa Clarita.
 
In the first game against LAFC, Michelle Kimball scored a goal off of an assist from Natalie Hanson, resulting in a 1-0 Boca victory.  The second game, Boca faced an extremely talented team from Laguna Hills.  The Boca girls fought hard and strong but the game resulted in a 4-0 loss.  The third game of the tournament was played against Santa Clarita.  At halftime the score was 3-0 in favor of Santa Clarita.  Boca came out in the second half playing with a lot of pride and heart, and with a stellar performance by our backline and goalkeeper, Karli Kridler, they held Santa Clarita scoreless in the second half.  Ashley John finished a shot outside of the eighteen-yard box, ending the game with a 3-1 result.
