Boca Jrs 91 Girls Sweep Santa Rosa In SYL

Super Y LeagueSacramento, CA -- The Capital Athletic Soccer Academy faced off against Santa Rosa United on Sunday and came away with a three game sweep in Super Y League competition.

The day started off with the Boca Jrs 91 girls defeating Santa Rosa Gold 5-0. Boca struck nine minutes into the match when midfielder Danielle Lovato connected with forward Mallory Creamer. Less than five minutes later left back Nicole Wilson crossed a ball to forward Natalie Perez who slipped the ball past the SRU goalkeeper. Perez then assisted on a goal of her own to Timery Mueller and Creamer struck again before halftime. In the 43rd minute Lovato scored a goal of her own to give Boca a 5-0 advantage.

In the second game of the day the Boca Jrs 91s avenged their Sweet 16 State Cup loss with a 3-1 victory over SRU. The Gold took a 1-0 lead 20 minutes into the game. However, just before the half Laura Nasseri connected with Brianna Scales on a perfectly placed through ball. Scales beat the goalkeeper and placed a left-footed shot into the goal. In the 55th minute forward Alexia Poon was fouled just outside the box on the left flank. Midfielder Brittani Lum took the free kick and found forward Brynne Konkel on the back post. Konkel volleyed the ball into the net for the 2-1 lead. Less than eight minutes later Elle Porter chipped a ball to the back post for Poon who brought it down and slipped it past the SRU goalkeeper.

In the final match of the afternoon the Boca Jrs 91 girls defeated SRU 2-1.
