Mykell Bates Named PARADE All American

Parade All American TeamCapital Athletic Boca Jrs 89 player Mykell Bates was named to the Parade All America High School team today by the magazine.  Bates, a Roseville native, is currently among 40 players training at the IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida with the U17 National Team. The squad is preparing for the FIFA U17 World Cup which will be held next year in South Korea.

In the fall of 2004, Bates then a freshman, led Roseville High School to the Sac Joaquin Section Division II Championship. Every year PARADE combs the nation in search of the finest high school football, basketball and soccer players. For many of these talented young men and women, making the PARADE All-America team is the first in a long line of successes, including outstanding college and professional athletic careers. There are currently 28 members of the US Men's National Team that are former Parade All America players and 65 members of MLS.
