The team was just ten minuets away from the final when a determined Santa Clara Sporting found a way to go ahead. This resulted in Boca turning the heat up afterwards and if not for a few great saves by the opposing goalkeeper Boca surely would have advanced. Boca would play a familiar NorCal nemesis in Athletico Santa Rosa in the consolation match only to be determined in penalty kicks.  Other accomplishments throughout the year included an appearance in the NorCal Premier Cross-Regional Championship match. Milan FC, the eventual State cup champions, were the opposition in a game that was very tight and exciting. Again key saves from the opposing goalkeeper sealed the victory for the foes. Final appearances has become a mainstay for this group having played in the Tracy Orange bowl final along with the Santa Cruz County Breakers Cup against last years State Cup champion and US Club Regional champion, Santa Cruz County. Another well played game with a similar result of coming close but unable to finish business resulted in a second place
finish.

The season began with a bang when the boys ran through Spring league to a regional title and another appearance in the Cross-Regional playoffs. With players off at ODP tryouts a shorthanded team loss a nail bitter to Cal Oddesy. Individual success has also been a mainstay of this team with two players having made State ODP from the year prior. Six players played district ODP this year with a total of three advancing to the State ODP pool. The introduction of US Club’s id2 also had Boca represented with one player going to National Identification Camp and a second being named as an alternate.  With the new year right around the corner the coaching staff is eager to get back to training, which this team does four days a week. Any player who is serious about playing with the best team and committed to competing at the highest level are encourage to come to preview days and tryouts to see if you have what it takes.
