Posted on August 14th, 2007
Bradenton, FL --
Mykel has played for Boca since he was 7 and the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach John Hackworth has included him on the 21-player roster that will represent the United States at the 2007 FIFA Under-17 World Cup from Aug. 18-Sept. 9 across eight venues in South Korea. The World Cup games will be televised on ESPNU. “We felt all along that the talented pool of players in this age group is very deep, making our decisions extremely difficult,” said Hackworth. “However, we feel that we selected players that have proven that they are dedicated to our team’s success at the World Cup.”

Boca Jrs 89 Boys Win Nomads Tournament Premier Division
Posted on December 1st, 2006
The U17 Boca Jrs 89 boys team won a convincing Championship game against the powerful Lobitos team at the Nomads Thanksgiving event. The players made an excellent impression on their coaches and members of the Boca family whose support throughout the games was deeply appreciated! The team was especially impressed by the many Boca athletes that were there all the way through the final game! Also impressed by our team’s performance were many college coaches who expressed keen interest in recruiting many of the seniors and juniors. The accomplishment was impressive because the team played six games in three days against strong competition and every single game was on the balance which highlights the mental toughness, team unity and commitment that the young men showed in every game. Boca Jrs 94 Boys Win Mustang Headless Horseman Tournament
Posted on November 14th, 2006
The CASA Boca Jrs 94 boys team traveled to Danville Oct. 28th & 29th for the greatly anticipated Mustang Headless Horseman Tournament. The U12 boys were well prepared by Coach Jorge Nieves for this tournament that was attended by four of the top five Northern California U12 teams. It was obvious at the outset of the first game against a tough CVSA Cyclones team the boys were ready to play. The defense learned that shutouts equal points and allowed the Cyclones only three opportunities on goal. T he scoring for Boca was started in the second half with Julian smashing a pinball shot in the corner of the net from the left side. The second and final goal of the game was a nutmeg special by Danny, giving Boca a 2-0 victory.
