Boca Jrs Academy Girls Sparkle in Northwest Showcase
TACOMA, WA --- Last weekend the Boca Jrs Girls U18 team participated in the Northwest Showcase held in Tacoma, Washington. In spite of having had only a couple of practices since the recent tryouts, the team performed very well and won all three of their games. The Showcase is sponsored by adidas, the new equipment supplier and partner with Capital Athletic Soccer Academy. In addition to strong competition in a beautiful setting with excellent fields, the event also includes seminars held at the Tacoma Convention Center designed to assist the youngsters with the process of making informed choices of colleges to attend after graduating from high school. There were also sessions on sports psychology and dealing with the cost of college.

Boca Jrs 90 Girls Crowned National Champions
In the national championship game forward Brynne Konkel exploded for four goals in the first half to lead Boca to victory. It only took Konkel 78 seconds to get her team on the scoreboard when she took a perfectly placed pass from left back Brooke Harrison, beat a defender, and ripped the ball into the upper corner of the near post.
Boca Jrs 90 Girls Win Region G Championship
Boise, ID -- It was a word trademarked by basketball coach Pat Riley in the early 1980s when he was coaching the Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers never accomplished it during his tenure with the team, the Capital Athletic Boca Jrs 90 girls were able to "threepeat" on Tuesday as US Club Soccer Region G Champions.Boca won the U15 Girls Super Group by defeating Washington Premier FC 3-0 in the championship game. Three first-half goals was all the team needed to win the Region for the third year in a row and advance to the US Club National Cup V Finals in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Boca Jrs 90 Girls Sweep SYL Over Weekend
Concord, CA -- Nine goals in two games allowed the Capital Athletic Boca Jrs 90 girls to defeat the Mustang Soccer Club and Diablo Valley Soccer Club over the weekend in Super Y League competition.On Saturday in Danville Boca defeated Mustang 3-1. Boca took a 1-0 lead in the match when Brynne Konkel slipped a pass to Brianna Scales who finished the opportunity. Mustang tied the game later in the first half putting away the rebound on a tremendous save by goalkeeper Millie Brown.
In the second half Boca took the lead. This time it was Scales assisting to Konkel in the 53rd minute of the match. Twenty minutes later Konkel struck again when midfielder Brittani Lum sailed a corner kick to the back post and Konkel converted on a header.
Five Boca Girls Named To All-Metro Team
Sacramento, CA -- Five girls from the Capital Athletic Soccer Academy were named to the Sacramento Bee All-Metro Soccer Team. Boca Jrs 90 members Brittani Lum (St. Francis H.S.) and Brooke Harrison (Folsom H.S.) were named to the All-Metro Second team. Dara Karnofsky (Christian Brothers) and Taylor Chamberlain (Christian Brothers), both members of the Boca Jrs 89 team were named All-Metro Honorable Mention along with Boca Jrs 90 goalkeeper Millie Brown (Elk Grove).

Boca Jrs 91 Girls Sweep Santa Rosa In SYL
Sacramento, CA -- The Capital Athletic Soccer Academy faced off against Santa Rosa United on Sunday and came away with a three game sweep in Super Y League competition.The day started off with the Boca Jrs 91 girls defeating Santa Rosa Gold 5-0. Boca struck nine minutes into the match when midfielder Danielle Lovato connected with forward Mallory Creamer. Less than five minutes later left back Nicole Wilson crossed a ball to forward Natalie Perez who slipped the ball past the SRU goalkeeper. Perez then assisted on a goal of her own to Timery Mueller and Creamer struck again before halftime. In the 43rd minute Lovato scored a goal of her own to give Boca a 5-0 advantage.
Boca Jrs 90 Grils Thru To Sweet 16
Lemoore, CA -- After opting not to participate in CYSA State Cup in 2004 the Capital Athletic Boca Jrs 90 girls team stormed back into the competition last weekend. Boca outscored its three opponents 14-0, won the group, and advanced to the Sweet 16. Boca opened the tournament with a match against District 6 rival Napa. After a scoreless first half Capital Athletic (playing as RCU) exploded for four goals in the second half to win 4-0. Forward Hannah Davidson was involved in every goal. Five minutes into the second period Davidson assisted forward Brynne Konkel for the first goal of the match. Davidson then scored the second goal on an assist from left back Brooke Harrison three minutes later. Davidson then assisted Konkel and Alexia Poon on the final two goals of the match.
Boca Jrs 90 Girls Finalists At Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV -- Playing in another major college showcase the Capital Athletic Boca Jrs 90 girls team once again came away with hardware. Boca opened the Las Vegas College Coaches Showcase against national power Ohio Premier with a 2-1 victory. Forward Hannah Davidson got the team on the scoreboard first when she finished a corner kick from Brittani Lum. Ohio Premier equalized before the half, but Davidson struck again in the second half on assists from Brynne Konkel and Alexia Poon.
