In the second game of the day, Boca faced the California Cougars.  The Cougars were athletic and fast, however Boca continued to possess the ball and made excellent passes to each other and had time on the ball to make good decisions.  Annie Ware and Katelyn Chandler controlled the center of the field and made some excellent wall passes.  Katelyn Bates and McKenna Fox allowed no opposing forwards to attack down the middle and helped Danielle Lawson in goal.  The game was tied 1-1 with 15 minutes to go and the Boca girls never backed down creating many chances.  Katelyn Chandler put a goal in to go ahead with only 20 seconds left.  As soon as the Cougars kicked the ball off the whistle was blown to end the game.  Boca wins 2-1!!

On Sunday, Boca played El Dorado United 97 in the semi-final game.  The girls were determined to make it to the final and proved they deserved to be there by scoring within the first 10 minutes.  They continued to work the ball around the field, making excellent decisions.  The back four defenders and our goalkeeper Danielle Lawson posted a 2nd shutout of the tournament, with a 2-0 win and advancing to the final game.

Boca faced WBSA in the Championship game.   In the first half, Boca had a few chances on goal, but was unable to convert.  The game went back and forth and in the 15th minute, Mia Root beat her opponent down the line and served a nice low cross on the ground for Miranda Sanchez to finish in the back of the net.  As the second half started, Boca was calm and relaxed and continued to play through the middle to the outsides, finding the forwards feet and attacking the goal.  With 10 minutes to go Caroline Kaniff received the ball at midfield, beat 3 defenders and hit a shot past the goalkeeper.  Boca 2 WBSA 0.   WBSA kept putting pressure on the defenders and scored with 5 minutes remaining.  Boca played hard and was able to hold off WBSA 2-1 for the Championship WIN!!  Congratulations U12 Girls!!!!!!!
